Photo Mission Statement:
I am a lifestyle advertising photographer, which means we are creating advertising assets to help generate more business for your company. It is my job to take a three-dimensional world and interpret it into a 2-dimensional page so that it makes sense and tells a story about who you are as a designer. I really focus on the storytelling aspect of the space and only shoot the very best angles, and look to the natural beauty to help communicate that. I aim to tell a cohesive narrative. I vehemently want the images I create to be as useful as possible. I understand the importance of quality content creation, I do like getting clients new “likes” and I don't want just to be noise on the internet.

I graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2005 with an Outstanding Achievement award for my portfolio. After graduation, I worked at AIC full-time managing the equipment library. We managed a commercial 10-bay photo studio, a wet darkroom, a digital darkroom, computer labs and so much more for 5 1/2 years. Now I spend my time working freelance and have been working with 5280 Home, Colorado Homes & Lifestyles, House Beautiful, Denver Life, Real Simple, and other local and national publications.
About my process:
When shooting a new project I really like to scout (AKA quick walk through the project to make a plan) when possible. A typical shoot day is: 9am start with my assistant and me, and our photography and lighting equipment. I am not someone who documents the whole house like a real estate photographer. I shoot to my computer so I can really work the details of an image on a larger screen. I typically follow the natural light around the house depending on circumstances. A good majority of my clients are interior designers and because of that, there is a stylist who comes to photoshoots. They are someone who brings extra books, flowers, throw blankets, pillows, art that might be missing, and all the gorgeous bits and pieces of really great imagery.
